Established from the suburb of Brookdale in 2008, Hilbert is a flourishing suburb within the City of Armadale with an integral role to play in Perth’s great south-eastern growth plans.

Originally farmlands, this suburb is known for its peaceful community-focused lifestyle and its location at the foot of the Darling Ranges surrounded by nature reserves and parks. Adding to its appeal is easy access to:

  • large employment hubs, including Forrestdale Business Park,
  • the extensive retail and entertainment amenities and facilities in Armadale and Cockburn,
  • the Armadale Arena, sports, recreation and aquatic centre
  • the Armadale Health Service, incorporating Armadale Hospital
  • the Armadale and Araluen Golf Courses
  • the region’s 10 schools and seven childcare centres, and
  • major transport arteries including Kwinana Freeway, Armadale Road, and the Tonkin Highway which gives drivers a clear run to Perth Airport in under 30 minutes.

Latest Progress in Hilbert

In October 2025, enhanced connectivity and accessibility for Hilbert’s residents were made possible by the completion of the Metronet Byford Rail Extension Project, which extended the Armadale line 8km south from Armadale to a new ground-level station in Byford. Commuters can easily access the train network through new local bus routes (almost 500,000 additional bus service kilometres added to the region’s network), or by driving to new park-and-ride facilities at both Armadale and Byford stations.

Another exciting achievement is the February 2026 completion of the state-of-the-art $41 million Wungong Primary School, adding to the many choices of established school campuses in the area.

With a number of parks and retail spaces in the area too, Hilbert residents really don’t need to worry about anything. In fact, there is so much more planned for all to benefit from and enjoy!

There’s More to Come in Hilbert!

Hilbert’s evolution and suburban transformation are guided by the Wungong Urban Project, which is an initiative of the State Government - a 1,580-hectare semi-rural corridor bound to become one of Australia’s smartest, most innovative, and most sustainable urban hubs.

The future of the Wungong Urban area will see the realisation of new homes for over 40,000 people on over 16,000 lots of land. Some of these are in Parcel Property’s Claravale Estate in Hilbert, which has new stages being released in its The Ranges and The Brook precincts.
Claravale The Brook will also be home to the DevelopmentWA-approved Rowley Road Neighbourhood Activity Centre with a Coles-anchored shopping centre, specialty retail tenancies, cafes, and childcare premises.

It’s not all about man-made infrastructure though. Respect for the natural environment continues and will be enhanced by 12 kilometres of living streams, and the introduction of 19,000 trees. Cleverly designed and integrated public open spaces as well as walking trails will help residents experience the tranquility and beauty of the Darling Range as a breathtaking backdrop.

An Inclusive and Dynamic Community

Understandably, the population of Hilbert has quadrupled in the last ten years, growing from 1,552 people in 2016 to an estimated 6,200 in 2026.

With new schools and shopping centres, an abundance of parks and playgrounds, easily accessed major roads, public transport, and modern, affordable housing, Hilbert is ideal for first-home buyers and upgraders.

The majority of current residents are aged between 25 and 55, with a median age of 29, making this a young and progressive community with a richly diverse local character.

Come and join them, and enjoy the amazing Hilbert lifestyle, by contacting Parcel Property about the latest land release at Claravale.
